Can you build a boat that floats?
Registration
Please read the rules and regulations, fill out the PDF form, and submit to Tiffin Elks Lodge #94 with payment.
Regatta Details
Only the following materials can be used to build your boat:
- one (1) sheet of 4’ x 8’ x 1/4″ thick plywood
- two (2) 2 x 4’s x 8’ long
- one (1) 60 yd roll of duct tape
- one (1) pound fasteners
- no glue or caulk
- painting your boat is encouraged
Day of
- Boat pilots will be required to sign a liability waiver, wear shoes, and have a life jacket in the craft. (Life jackets will be available.)
- Boats must be registered by 2:30 pm the day of the race.
- Teams are encouraged to bring a set of saw horses to present their boat for judging. A few will be available first come first serve.
- Pop up tents lawn chairs, etc are allowed
- No cars will be allowed in the parking lot this year. It will be used for boat presentation and race staging. Boats may be dropped off at the parking lot entrance.
- No coolers will be allowed at the event.
- Teams will be judged for theme and technical design at 3:00. All team members should be at their boats for judging

- Race winner
- Best sinker
- Best team theme
- Best technical design
